The String Quartet "Aires de México" /Ensamble Clásico/ has successfully established itself as one of the finest and most versatile chamber music groups in México.

The primary goal of this quartet is the diffusion and exposure of Mexican music at both national and international levels.

Other important objectives are:

  • Presentation of classical and contemporary music
  • Educational concerts in schools, colleges and universities.

The quartet has recorded five compact discs representing an anthology of Mexican popular music from the period of the Reforma of 1866 up through the 1950s:

... as well as a CD of classical music - "Serenata, música del mundo".
